Baraka is an exemplary building: structure and walls made of locally sourced wood, natural insulation materials (straw and cellulose wadding), vegetated roof, vegetated façade (to come), paints and floors without petrochemicals, solar hot water. Thanks to its insulation and its system of heat recovery from the ambient air, its heating needs are almost nil. Heating is you. Baraka is a seminar room, a space to rent for companies and associations with the possibility of catering and short animations around sustainable development, cooking, urban agriculture, … Baraka is a cooperative company that has created 5 jobs, two of which are reserved for people from a social integration program. The strategic decision is collective, based on the principle of one man, one vote, with at least 60% of any profits reinvested in the company. Baraka is a place of invention and cooperation: reading aloud, popular education in new technologies (Fab lab), learning space for urban agriculture (garden squares), book exchanges, etc. Baraka is in principle open to ideas that you will bring and carry with us. For all these reasons, we like to think that Baraka is a factory of common goods.
