Die Form des Hauses ergibt sich aus der optimalen Form, die Sonnenenergie einzufangen. Laut Angabe der Architekten wurden 90% nachwachsende Rohstoffe eingesetzt, der ursprüngliche Plan, das Haus komplett energieautark zu machen, musste aber aus Kostengründen fallen gelassen werden.
