Raised concrete foundation with 70 cm musselshells as isolation. Wooden construction with KERTO beams, and big bales 50cm x 100 cm x 200 cm in between. 40 cm paper granulate under thatched roof. Heatpump with 1000 meters in the ground and under floor heating. Fulfills the toughest Danish 2020 regulation in energy efficiency. Partly in 2 stories (south wing).

Straagaarden, Gilleleje  has the form of a traditional Danish farmhouse, a square house  with a courtyard in the middle.
