What makes your dream home so sustainable ?:
“What is special is that our house is built of straw. Straw is a waste product that provides great insulation. There will be a thatched roof on the roof. We use 3-layer glass. In addition, there will be solar panels, a solar boiler, we will use rainwater for the toilet and laundry and there will be a heat recovery installation for the shower. A geothermal heat pump will be installed for the low temperature underfloor heating and hot water. We try to use materials and systems that do not harm the environment as much as possible. The intention is that we generate our own energy and only use sustainable energy. We are not getting a gas connection. It is nice to see that what we wanted is achievable. I think it is important that others also know that sustainable building is possible and really is not more expensive than ‘normal’ building. “
