The Passivaus by architects Margareta Schwarz (Italy) and Werner Schmidt (Switzerland) won the “Klimahaus 2003” award in the “A plus” category (best of the best, “A” for best energy index below 30 kWh, “plus” for building biology). A straw bale house that is not only aesthetic but also functional, economical and sustainable.
