Les Gîtes du Chênelet consists of 3 gîtes and 2 studios, located in the heart of the Opal Coast. With a maximum capacity of 28 people, the Gîtes du Chênelet are perfectly adapted for company seminars and for holiday and leisure stays. In the spirit of “sharing wealth” that animates Chênelet, these gîtes have been designed to welcome and allow the departure on holiday of people with reduced mobility, by offering accommodation particularly adapted to their needs and their comforts. In a logic of sustainable development, Chênelet has been experimenting for several years with innovative ecological construction techniques. With this construction, the process of a new, more efficient range has been validated: wood frame and straw insulation, green roofing, cladding, reed filter, raw earth bricks, hybrid natural ventilation, rainwater recovery, water heater coupled with solar panels. In addition, we used local materials for this project: straw, wood (larch, poplar, oak), earth, hot, pumice stone, etc. These cottages are an opportunity to make environmental performance accessible to all.
