The house is largely built on a concrete basement. A smaller part of this construction has a foam concrete package with reinforced concrete slab. The housing part on the basement bin has a floor, walls and roof with straw. The floor and roof are box constructions of wooden plates containing the straw bales. The facades are timber frame construction with straw infill where the straw bale is applied horizontally.
The supporting structure consists of laminated spruce beams and columns. For stability, a number of steel strips have been placed over the straw. On the outside, the straw is finished with a layer of earthplaster and a wooden facade of Siberian larch on top. The inside of the straw walls is finished with an extra thick layer of earthplaster with wall heating.
