The wheat field offers a calm view, conducive to rest. The project makes the best use of this orientation by concentrating most of the students’ rooms there. The window is designed as a use in direct relation to the landscape. The central circulation becomes a place of exchange and takes advantage of the natural light of the wind towers. The agricultural college embraces the full range of land occupations. Its architecture can also demonstrate the ramifications of the products of the soil. The project uses plant materials from local (straw and soil) and regional (hemp and wood) sources. The figure of the project itself is inspired by this organic cycle, from the shape of the roof as a landscape draining water and light, to the material of the wall, a clay plaster extracted from the soil. Positive energy must be achieved through a process of reducing the need for energy before complex and costly technological solutions are required.
