We are delighted to announce that the International Straw Building Conference 2027 is now open for pre-registration.
Taking place in Nantes, France, from 3rd to 6th February 2027, ISBC 2027 will bring together the international straw-building community to share practical knowledge, new research and the approaches needed to make straw construction more widely accessible.
Co-hosted by RFCP, ESBA, BBMC and CASBA, the event combines the French Congrès Paille with two international days under the theme Changing Practice for a Changing Climate.
The French national programme takes place on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th February. The international ISBC programme follows on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th February. Professional interpretation will be provided throughout, enabling participants to follow the programme in either French or English.
The programme will address:
- Straw retrofit – from established practice to new solutions
- International supply chains, skills and market development
- Making straw building more accessible and widely adopted
- Adaptation and resilience in a changing climate
- Research, engineering, testing, certification and standards
Ticket sales will open shortly. Early-bird rates will be available for six weeks from the opening of sales.
RFCP members are eligible for reduced ticket prices: delegates from anywhere in the world may join RFCP before booking in order to access this lower rate.
