The guesthouse was built with the help of volunteers with straw and earth, under the inspired leadership of Tom Rijven.
We have chosen to change the residential destination into recreation, with the aim of also realizing recreational recreation. From the start that we live here at the Aalshof, we saw an article in the magazine “Landleven” that a house was being built with straw and earth. Sustainable, ecological, pleasant indoor climate and straw is a by-product of agriculture and that struck us immediately.
It will be a guesthouse / hotel with 6 rooms, 1 of which is accessible for disabled people. There is also a common room where people can socialize and which is suitable for multiple purposes, a kitchen and a technical room. The building can accommodate 12 adults and 8 children. Workshops, courses and meeting sessions can also be held in the building.
