The clients wanted to create a very special B&B on their property. Sustainable and with agricultural building materials, an almost -0-energy building that could meet high standards of comfort and experience.
Traditionally designed on the outside, sleek and modern on the inside. Offering something extra that fellow B & Bs in the region do not have to offer.
The building is largely constructed of prefabricated wooden elements which are filled on site with straw bales and finished with earth plaster.
The aim is to achieve a rational construction process, a fully-fledged technical building, built by a recognized construction company.
Wooden frame with straw bale filling and earth plaster finish. The floors are also insulated with straw bales and finished with a floating (concrete) screed.
Roof construction made of native larch wood. A solar boiler provides both hot water and heat buffering for heating the B&B.
PV system to compensate for the economical energy consumption.
