Two special houses: You don’t see it that way, but these 2 houses have straw facades.
The facades are constructed from prefabricated timber frame construction (HSB) elements filled with pressed straw, which provide enormous insulation. These are not-less houses, which are vapor-open and breathable due to the straw façades and a healthy and comfortable indoor climate thanks to an earthplaster and finish.
The production of the panels does not generate CO2 emissions, but rather ensures CO2 absorption.
The building is: vapor-open, notaleless, All-Electric, with 50% earth plaster walls for an even indoor climate and acoustics. Walls and floors were carried out by the client and the hull was built by Bouwbedrijf Wagemakers. The prefab straw elements are from EcoCocon (Lithuania) via Strotec Eindhoven.
