A sustainable house in the historic city center of Dordrecht. From the outside a simple and sleek appearance, on the inside a sleek and modern look with a special spatial layout and a lot of attention to the effect of light and the contact with the outside.
The development and construction process was carried out in close consultation between clients, architect, straw building consultant, contractor and subcontractors. Clients cooperated in the treatment of all the woodwork, the application of the straw insulation, the plasterwork and the further finishing.
The house has a concrete foundation. The front and rear façade and the roof are timber frame construction elements. These are filled on site with straw bales from the island of Dordrecht.
