A new wood and straw house in Vienna. Framework douglas wood was raised in a few days. Bois et Paille also carried out the roofing, the cladding, as well as the implementation of the low beams and the pre-frames. The straw was then laid during a participatory workcamp, supervised on the first day by Eddy Fruchard. Lime rendering on the outside and earth rendering on the inside are applied immediately afterwards (also in a participative workcamp), in order to spend the winter in a dry environment. Bois et Paille also intervened for the installation of mixed wood/aluminium joinery. Insulation of the wadded roof, the installation of the partitions…; most of the work is carried out in self-construction, accompanied by a supervising professional.
