The two gables were made of frame construction to facilitate the installation of straw insulation for the rest of the house. These gables are insulated with cellulose wadding, traditional Douglas fir frame and wood fibre rainscreen on the rafters. Lime pozzolana slab, airtightness, lime coating… Bois et Paille has just spent another week on site, installing the wood/aluminium joinery.
