Ateliers municipaux de Chevannes

The project to build the new municipal workshops in Chevannes extends the municipal facilities on rue du Parc (Town Hall, School, Leisure Centre, Sports Grounds). They will provide the town’s technical services with storage space, garages, workshops and social facilities. The construction will be made of wood: wooden posts and wooden framework in the storage and garages. Wooden framework and straw insulation in the workshops and social premises. The joinery will be made of wood. Large wooden sliding doors will allow access to the sheds. All the wood used will be untreated. The cladding will be in natural class 3 raw wood laid vertically edge to edge. The roofing will be made of steel tubs with a slope of 6° (10%). Fruit trees and shrubs will be planted on the plot at the northern limit. Fruit trees and edible hedges will be planted between the new building and the leisure centre. The roads inside the plot will be made of stabilized gravel (non-impermeable surface). Grassed strips will be laid around the paths.
