UP STRAW Report on Teaching – Strategic plan for implementing straw courses into existing curricula

Written by esba

Worldwide climate change, economics and social concerns have highlighted the need for a change in the practices and processes in many sectors. This is especially relevant in the construction sector where the embodied carbon in building materials is a huge contributor to climate change and unhealthy living conditions. New ways of building therefore, are in demand as is knowledge and professional training for architects, building professionals and associated professions.

This Strategic Implementation Plan is a road map for promoting training in straw construction techniques to target markets.

The Aim of the Strategic Plan is:

  • To promote the use of straw in the construction of buildings to: educational institutions and professional construction organisations in the UP Straw partnership countries.
