Straw houses at the forefront of sustainable construction

Written by esba

40% of the energy consumed in the world is needed in buildings. With the energy strategy 2050, Switzerland must increase research into renewable energies, lower its energy needs and become less dependent on mass-produced electricity. This will lead to an intensification of renovation and drastic rules for new buildings. In this context, the question of the materials to be used comes to the fore. Is straw construction interesting compared to concrete? Will it be possible to meet the requirements of the labels?
