In this paper, we present a new scientific contribution by offering a new thermal insulation material made of cereal straw, hydraulic and air lime. This work is part of a program research project “PROMETHE” funded by the Centre region (France). An investigation on the elaboration, the hydrous properties of the fibres, mechanical and The thermal properties of the material will be presented in the various sections below.
