The supporting structure is made of prefabricated Eoccocon straw panels with a thickness of 400 mm and covered with 100 mm thick fibreboard. The roof is insulated with 500 mm thick blown cellulose. The exterior has a pitched roof with extensive vegetation (green roof). The specially designed foundation slab without thermal bridges is insulated underneath with 20 cm thick XPS insulation. The lower part of the façade is plastered directly on the fibreboard and the upper part is clad with red spruce. The heating of the building is provided by low temperature wall heating using an Ochsner Mini heat pump. Ventilation with heat recovery is provided by a Paul Santos unit. Wood-aluminium windows and Smartwin entrance doors from Hoblina.
