It is the prototype of De Steltloper. This looks like a cross between an Iglo and a Yurt (Ger). Instead of ice blocks or tent cloth, Pim uses pressed straw blocks.
The machines of StrawBlocks Systems make profiled precision blocks from pressed straw. The profile consists of tongue and groove so that the blocks interlock. This makes it possible to realize flat, strong and stable walls with pressed straw with a minimum of (relatively expensive) construction parts.
There is a wide range of shapes and sizes so that any desired building can be realized without any processing on the blocks. For example, they make trapezoidal blocks for domed roof structures. The shape of these blocks makes other construction material superfluous.
It is a building without foundations and can be placed directly on ground level. The same building can also be built on piles.
